Tom is a strategy consultant who specializes in creating bigger futures for brands and creative businesses.

Most recently, Tom was global chief strategy officer at R/GA. During his time, the company was recognized as Campaign’s global digital agency of the year, #1 on R3’s new business league, #2 on Ad Age’s creative A-List, and won Cannes Lions Grand Prix in media, social and entertainment, while Tom was shortlisted as Ad Age’s chief strategy officer of the year. Tom developed the company’s award-winning Brand Design + Consulting and Media + Connections practices.

Tom’s previous roles include director of strategy and innovation consultancy Co:Collective, chief strategy officer at Havas North America, and executive planning director at TBWA in London. 

Tom’s work focuses on the big challenges that today’s brands face as they move into the future: setting a strategy to win in a changing world, articulating a compelling purpose and value proposition, identifying the next generation of customers to serve, harnessing the latest in design, media and customer experience to bring it to life. Tom has worked with Amazon, ESPN, Google, Samsung, Sony, The Museum of Modern Art, Uber and Virgin, and has won Gold Effies for work with Dos Equis, P+G and Reddit.

Tom has developed significant IP for developing future brands. He has been a keynote speaker at Cannes Lions about designing brands as operating systems and new rules of engagement for digital brands, at Web Summit on designing a more human-friendly web3, and at Advertising Week and the Association of National Advertisers about business and brand transformation.
